MAPNA Group subsidiaries have set another record in power plant operations in Iran following synchronization of a gas unit in southern Iran.

MAPNA Construction and Development of Combined Cycle Plants Company (MD2) in collaboration with NASB NIROO, another subsidiary of the group, synchronized Unit One of Samangan Gas Power Plant to the national grid on 04:22 AM on Saturday, August 13, 2016.

While the typical power block-to-synchronization process takes seven months, MD2 and Nasb Niroo accomplished the process in three months.

Located 10 kilometers of Sirjan, Kerman Province, Samangan Combined Cycle Power was ordered by Kermanian Combined Cycle Power Company. Ghods Niroo served as engineering consultant of the project. With synchronization of Samangan gas unit, the aggregate synchronized units by MD2 reached 11243 MWs in 75 units.
