MAPNA SIGNS CHP MOU ON THE SIDELINES OF MOKRAN INVESTMENT SUMMIT

MAPNA Group and Negin Mokran Development Petrochemical Company signed a memorandum of understanding for construction of two CHP units on Monday.

The memorandum of understanding was signed between Abbas Aliabadi, CEO and Chairman of MAPNA Group, and Mohammad-Reza Movassaghinia, CEO of Negin Mokran Development Petrochemical Company, on the sidelines of the International Summit for Presenting Investment Opportunities in Mokran Shores which is being held in the city of Chabahar, southeastern Iran.

The MoU concerns construction of two MAP2A gas units with a total capacity of 340 MWs in addition to two heat recovery boilers and ancillary equipment. All equipment will be manufactured by MAPNA Group.

The first International Summit for Presenting Investment Opportunities and Sustainable Development in Mokran Shores was inaugurated on Monday, January 23, 2017, in the city of Chabahar, in the southeasternmost region of Iran.

Vice-President Es’haq Jahangiri was the keynote speaker of the summit aimed to promote investment opportunities and development policies for the region. Development of financial and economic, oil & gas, transportation, urban, industry and mines, petrochemical, power, tourism and ecotourism infrastructure for the region were focal points of the summit.

Mokran is a region that extends from the eastern part of Hormozgan Province in southern Iran to the eastern region of Sistan & Baluchistan province in southeast of the country. The region boasts remarkable geopolitical significance due to its proximity to Pakistan and Afghanistan, adjacency to the Indian Ocean and a high potential to serve as a corridor for Central Asian countries to access international waters.

MAPNA CEO Dr. Aliabadi led a delegation of senior officials of the conglomerate including MAPNA Strategic Planning & Control Vice President, CEOs of Investment and Oil & Gas divisions, Marketing & Sales Deputy of Power Division and experts from MAPNA Boiler Engineering and Manufacturing Company, Monenco Iran Consulting Engineers Company, and Communications and Marketing Directorate.

MAPNA booth in the summit hosted VP Es’haq Jahangiri and Akbar Torkan, Secretary of Supreme Council of Free Trade and Special Economic Zones on Monday.
