MAPNA Receives PAC for 1st Steam Cycle of Kashan Power Plant

MAPNA Power Plants Construction & Development Company (MD-1) Company received a provisional acceptance certificate for the first steam unit of Kashan Combined Cycle Power Plant on March 11, 2023.

With the provisional delivery of this unit, MD-1 has now received PAC for 144 units with an aggregate capacity of 19,599 MWs.

Kashan Power Plant consists of two gas units each with a capacity of 162 MW (324 MW in total) at ISO conditions in which V94.2 gas turbines of NIAM Plan have been used. It also has one steam unit with a capacity of 160 MWs that uses an E-Type steam turbine.

The power plant is located 20 km from Kashan on the road to Ardestan. The gas units of this power plant have been delivered to the client. The client of the power plant project is Novin Energy Construction & Operation Company (Saba Novin), and its consultant is Ghods Niroo Consulting Engineers Company.

The capacity of Kashan Power Plant substation is 230 kV and its engineering, procurement and construction is within the authority of the project client. Construction operations of Kashan Power Plant were launched on 23 January 2007. The first unit of the power plant was synchronized on 27 June 2009. The last unit was provisionally delivered to the client on 31 January 2010. In the project for construction of Kashan Gas Power Plant the record of minimum time duration between the start of excavation operation for turbines halls up to synchronization of the first unit has been registered at 14 months.
