MAPNA Group Receives PAC for Second Gas Unit of Latakia Power Plant

The second gas unit (Section #3) of the Latakia Combined Cycle Power Plant was provisionally handed over to the project client by MAPNA Group on November 5, 2024.

The Latakia Combined Cycle Power Plant project in Syria involves the construction of a combined cycle power block with a nominal capacity of 526 megawatts under ISO conditions.

Each gas unit has a capacity of 183 megawatts, and the steam unit has a capacity of 160 megawatts, utilizing a Heller cooling system.

Syria’s General Electricity Generating Corporation (PEEG) is the client of the project.

With the provisional handover of this unit, the total number of power plant units provisionally delivered by MAPNA Power Plants Construction & Development Company (MD-1) has reached 121 units, with a total capacity of 18,987 megawatts.
