MAPNA Group and Esfahan Steel Company (ESCO) have signed a BOT (build-own-transfer) contract for construction of a sewage treatment plant.
The plant will process effluent from Fooladshahr and Zarrinshahr, and industrial wastewater and untreated human sewage from Esfahan Steel Company. Sewage will be converted into soft water and industrial water with a treatment rate of 90 percent. The plant’s capacity is 850 cubic meters per hour.

The contract is for 15 years and entails treated wastewater purchase agreement for a volume of 6.6 cubic meters per year.
MAPNA Investment Division is the investor of the project. Nasb Niroo, a subsidiary of MAPNA Group, will carry out the EPC operations. Esfahan Steel Company (ESCO) is the investee.
