Project Specifications

Karaj Metro Line 2 is one of the two operational lines in the urban rail transportation of Karaj, the capital of Alborz province. It begins at Kamalshahr station on the Karaj-Qazvin Freeway (northwest of Karaj) and ends at Malard (south). This line spans a distance of 27 km and intersects with Karaj station (also known as Shahid Soltani) on Line 1.

Karaj Metro Line 2 project encompasses various tasks such as engineering and design studies, procurement of equipment and machinery, complete project implementation, installation of equipment, and final delivery of the project under an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contract. It also involves the construction and equipping of a 24.75 km long tunnel, 23 underground stations, the Kamal Shahr depot, Malard parking lot, and a command center.
