MAPNA Drilling Company, a subsidiary of MAPNA Group, has successfully completed performance testing for wellhead and downhole equipment as part of the Shurijeh D Gas Storage Project in Khangiran gas field, northeastern Iran.
The tests were conducted on wells KG-081, KG-083, and KG-084, confirming the operational parameters and efficiency of the equipment.
According to Ahmad Toki, Deputy for Projects at MAPNA Drilling Company, these operations were executed riglessly, a year after drilling and completing the wells.
The Shurijeh D project is one of the largest natural gas storage initiatives in Iran and the Middle East. It involves drilling 28 wells, along with the construction of related wellhead facilities, gas flowlines, and injection systems.
Managed under a contract with the Iran Gas Engineering and Development Company (IGEDC), the project is led by Neyr Perse Company, another MAPNA subsidiary, with MAPNA Drilling Company providing comprehensive drilling and technical services. This initiative is critical for enhancing gas supply stability, particularly for the Khangiran Refinery, which relies heavily on Shurijeh D reservoir gas during peak winter demand.
