Kermanshah Zagros Power Plant
Zagros gas-fired power plant is MAPNA Group’s first project carried out as part of the Seven Power Plants Agreement.
A 20-month deadline was set for synchronization of the first gas-fired unit, and a two-month deadline for its provisional delivery. The following units would be synchronized to the unit in 1.5-month intervals.
MAPNA Group’s Kermanshah Zagros Power Plant consists of four gas-fueled units each with a capacity of 162 MW (total 648 MW) at ISO conditions. The gas turbines are of V94.2 type, operating under MAPNA Group’s NIAM (MAPNA Standard Power Plant) scheme.
The power plant is located at 25th kilometer of Kermanshah-Hamedan road.
Thermal Power Plants Holding Company is the client of the project and Ghods Niroo Engineering Company serves as the consultant.
The main contractor of the project, MAPNA Power Plants Construction & Development Company, is responsible for synchronization and receiving provisional acceptance certificate (PAC).
In 2013, following a restructuring of MAPNA Group power subsidiaries, MAPNA Combined Cycle Power Plants Construction & Development Company (MD-2) assumed completion of the projects and receiving FAC.
