Sewage Treatment Plant of Esfahan Steel Company

Project Specifications

MAPNA Group and Esfahan Steel Company (ESCO) have entered into a BOT (build-own-transfer) agreement for the construction of a wastewater treatment plant. The plant will treat domestic wastewater from Fooladshahr and Zarrinshahr, as well as industrial wastewater and raw sewage from ESCO. The treated water will have a 90 percent treatment rate and will be suitable for industrial and soft water applications. The plant will have a capacity of 850 cubic meters per hour.

The duration of the contract is 15 years and includes a purchase agreement for 6.6 million cubic meters of treated wastewater per year.

The investor of the project is MAPNA Investment Division. The EPC contractor is Nasb Niroo, a subsidiary of MAPNA Group. The off-taker of the treated water is ESCO.
